Foreston Trends marries basic solid kitchen textiles with fashion placemats

New York - Foreston Trends came to the New York Home Fashions Market this week with a concept for its kitchen textiles and table linens that called for pairing basic solids with fashion styles.
With color at the crux of each collection, Foreston presented solid-color kitchen textiles components - including towels, pot holders and oven mitts - as coordinates to fashion designs in placemats.
The fashion placemats are available in printed, woven and mesh constructions and feature contemporary floral, botanical and geometric-like patterns.
Customers who have previewed the line have already shown interest, said Dick Gould, vp.
"We tied the [components] together and colorized them, and the stores seem to like the idea of conceptually pulling it all together," he explained.
Also new from Foreston at market was the next generation of its Textaline-made rugs - accent, area and runner sizes. The outdoor rugs employ a vinyl-coated, mesh-like fabric often used in patio furniture seating.
