Bloomingdale's kicks off customer loyalty program

New York - Bloomingdale's launched a new "Loyallist" customer loyalty program in stores and online today.
Those who sign up for the program can accumulate points each time they shop, and for every 5,000 points they will receive a "Reward Card" worth $25.00. They earn one point for every dollar spent - and three points per dollar if they pay with their Bloomingdale's credit card. Bloomingdale's credit card holders will be automatically enrolled.
Shoppers who spend $3,500 or more annual on their Bloomingdale's card will earn four points per dollar.
"Through this new loyalty rewards program, Bloomingdale's is reinforcing our commitment to our customers," said Tony Spring, president and coo. "We want to recognize those shoppers who continue to be loyal to our brand and engage new shoppers by offering a very distinctive program."
Bloomie's is also leveraging technology with the program, publishing QR codes with information about the offer. Consumers can also text "Loyallist" to 51515 or enroll at bloomingdales.com/loyallist, where they can monitor their points.
