UF&D helps out the homeless

Des Plaines, Ill. –Bedding manufacturer United Feather & Down recently donated product to two Chicagoland homeless shelters as part of the United Relief Foundation’s (URF) Project Restoring Hope program. 

The manufacturer supplied pillows and comforters to the shelters as part of URF’s Project Restoring Hope, which is dedicated to easing the suffering of homeless individuals and families, especially veterans, in America. Company co-president Stephen Palmer was on hand to deliver the comforters to the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Wheaton, Ill., and the Journeys from PADS to HOPE shelter in Palatine, Ill. 

“We take pride in our local community and want to help those around us who are facing tough times,” said Palmer.

United Relief Foundation is a Mount Prospect, Ill.-based non-profit organization founded in 2006 assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Since then, the organization has expanded its humanitarian efforts. More information can be found at www.unitedrelieffoundation.org.
