HSN Promotes Dotcom Trio

St. Petersburg, Fla. — HSN has made a number of appointments aimed at improving strategic multichannel growth for HSN TV and HSN.com. The web business now accounts for more than one-fifth of U.S. sales, according to the company.

Kris Kulesza has been named executive vp, HSN.com, including on-line merchandising. Matthew Siegel and Jon Kapplow were named vp of e-tail strategy and vp of multichannel marketing for HSN.com, respectively.

Kulesza joined HSN in 1998 as vp of merchandising, where she led HSN's team of jewelry merchants as they expanded their assortment of products on both HSN TV and HSN.com. In May of 2005, she assumed the role of senior vp of online merchandising, where she worked to broaden the site's product assortment and create a multichannel ideology.

Siegel joined HSN as vp of product management in August of 2003, where he developed HSN.com's “when to watch” e-mail program. His previous experience included positions at Internet start-up GameFly.com as well as Ticketmaster, LivePlanet, eToys.com, CitySearch and Warner Bros.

Kapplow joined HSN as director of multichannel marketing in September 2004 and was responsible for increasing revenues generated through customer e-mails by 72% and raising the number of multichannel HSN customers through programs such as “Customer Picks,” which debuted in early 2005. He was previously director of Internet and corporate marketing for Hanover Direct.
