Fashion Delivers slates Haiti benefit

New York – Fashion Delivers has slated a charity dance event here that will include dance performances, a cocktail reception, music, raffle prizes and a silent auction.

The organization is a non-profit that collects unused apparel and home goods from companies in the trade and distributes them to victims of natural disaster. Fashion Delivers has received donations of $10 million worth of merchandise for Haiti. The fundraising is to cover the cost of shipping the product to Haiti. Proceeds will benefit to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund and Fashion Delivers Hope to Haiti Relief Efforts.

The Healing For Haiti event will take place Monday, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, 248 W. 60th St. The event will include performances by Manhattan Youth Ballet and Nalini Method. Kevin Penner, executive chef of the 1770 House, is donating the catering the reception. Donated raffle and auction items were provided by local dance, fitness, food, lifestyle, beauty and fashion businesses.
