Donna Karan settles in SoHo
August 17, 2001,
New York — Donna Karan International, with its flagship store on Madison Avenue, has just opened its second location here in SoHo, showcasing its apparel as well as a selection of its home products.
Located a world away from Madison Avenue at 420 West Broadway, the new 7,000-square-foot space is funky like its SoHo neighbors, using concrete floors, high ceilings and exposed brick. Walls of mirrors visually extend the space even more, and raised platforms add dimension.
Gibbs also mentioned that the company hoped to open home stores eventually.
