New home vp for Dollar General

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — Dollar General recently hired Kevin Easton as vice president, general merchandise — home and apparel.
Before joining Dollar General last month, Easton spent the past three years working for ShopKo Stores as executive vice president and chief merchandising officer. Prior to his stint with ShopKo, he worked at Target Stores for 12 years. There he climbed the ranks, starting out as a senior buyer from 1987 to 1990, then moving up to divisional merchandise manager from 1990 to 1993 and lastly as vice president/merchandise manager for the men's division from 1993 to 1999.
Also last month, the retailer hired Bass Koury as vice president, general merchandise — consumables. Previously, he spent four years at Ahold USA, most recently working as president, business improvement and continental initiatives.
