Nordstrom.com loses key executives

Seattle — Dan Nordstrom, ceo, and Mike Smith, president, have resigned from their positions at Nordstrom.com, Nordstrom's catalog and Internet division. Co-chairman Ray Johnson will serve as interim ceo and president of Nordstrom.com.

Dan Nordstrom, who is a fourth-generation member of the corporate family, will stay on through the end of the month, according to the company.

Smith, formerly president and ceo of Lands' End catalog company and the founder of online scrapbook company LifeSketch.com, left the company on Friday.

Nordstrom.com became a directly controlled subsidiary of Nordstrom on May 31, when Nordstrom bought out the minority venture investors of Nordstrom.com, Benchmark Capital and Madrona Investments.
