A 50 pct. add-on has Arlee DC in the clouds
December 8, 2003-- Home Textiles Today,
Arlee Home Fashions is about to complete a 50,000-square-foot high cube extension to one of its warehousing centers in West Plains, MO.
The additional space to the 100,000-square-foot site is being made to accommodate additional storage for the company's decorative pillows, throws and soft window treatment product lines.
Bud Frankel, president and ceo, said construction is expected to be completed before the end of December.
"We've been fortunate that we're having a very strong year, especially at the mass [retail] level," Frankel added. "Our throw business is up, so is our shower curtain business. In fact, all divisions are doing very well."
Frankel said Arlee is considering making a similar expansion to a second warehousing center in West Plains, MO within the next six months to support this growth.
