Home Source names Schaus director of bedding design

Atlanta -- Home Source International has hired Lissa Schaus as director of bedding design, effective immediately; she will develop bedding products for the Portico brand, newly licensed by Home Source.

Schaus will also design bed products for other licensed and in-house brands, the company said. She will be located in North Carolina and will work hand in hand with Phyllis Moore, Home Source vp of bed product development.

Schaus was most recently design director, Home Fashions International for Westgate International (Gaffney, S.C.), where she helped Westgate expand across multiple channels of distribution and price points. Prior to Westgate, Schaus was designer of bed products with Pillowtex Corp. She also worked on a USDA grant project with Liz Claiborne, Inc. through Cornell University and the Philadelphia College of Textiles.

Keith Sorgeloos, president and ceo, of Home Source, said, “The addition of Lissa to our experienced team is an exciting move for us and a natural progression in our plans to further emphasize our bed products across all channels of distribution.”
