Naylor named sr. vp, cfo at Big Lots

Columbus, OH — Jeffrey Naylor has been named senior vp and cfo of closeout retailer Big Lots. He will report to Albert Bell, vice chairman and chief administrative officer.

Naylor joins the company from Dade Behring, a medical diagnostics company, where he was senior vp, cfo and chief administrative officer. Before that, he was vp, controller at The Limited; vp, finance, full-line department stores at Sears; and vp, finance at Sears Credit.

"We are very pleased to welcome Jeff to our company," said Bell. "He is a proven professional who brings a wealth of financial, retail and branded business expertise to Big Lots, and he has significant experience across all aspects of finance and strategic planning. His professional background and experience align perfectly with our strategy to launch our national brand, become a customer-centric company, and to further strengthen our position as the leader in broadline closeout retailing. We are confident Jeff will add tremendous value to our business, and we are excited to have him as a member of our senior management team."

Naylor replaces Mark Shapiro, who left the company in June.
