LNT ties The Knot with bridal registry

New York — Linens 'N Things is expanding the reach of its bridal registry services through a partnership with The Knot, an on-line wedding content provider for AOL and MSN.

Under the agreement, more than 2,000 skus in LNT's assortment of bed and bath products will be available through theknot.com as well as lnt.com. The retailer will promote The Knot with in-store signage, and consumers shopping for goods from The Knot's registry can make their purchases through LNT stores.

Featured bedding brands under the venture will include AeroBed, American Pacific, Beautyrest, Berkshire, Brentwood Originals, Croscill, WestPoint Stevens, Laura Ashley, LNT Home, Nautica, Pacific Coast Feather, Revman, Springmaid and Wamsutta.

Featured bath brands will include Avanti, Braun, Conair, Croscill, Fieldcrest, Frenchtex, Homedics, WestPoint Stevens, Newmark Rug, Park B. Smith, Regal, Springs and Wamsutta.

The Knot already operates under a similar arrangement with Fortunoff for china and tabletop. In addition to its Internet service, The Knot publishes wedding-planning print publications, including the semiannual Wedding Gowns magazine, regional wedding magazines and a three-book wedding-planning service with Random House's Broadway Books division.
