WestPoint reaches out with scholarships

West Point, GA — Thanks to home textiles giant WestPoint Stevens, 22 high school seniors' college educations will carry less of a financial burden.
The major mill announced that its WestPoint Stevens Foundation awarded 22 students from communities where the company has manufacturing operations with four-year college scholarships.
Each scholarship provides $1,000 per year for four years to the college of the student's choice as long as the students meets scholarship program criteria. There are no restrictions on the student's choice of study.
Although the children of WestPoint Stevens employees are given first consideration for the scholarships, it may be awarded to any child who is eligible.
