WestPoint reaches out with scholarships
June 5, 2002,
West Point, GA — Thanks to home textiles giant WestPoint Stevens, 22 high school seniors' college educations will carry less of a financial burden.
The major mill announced that its WestPoint Stevens Foundation awarded 22 students from communities where the company has manufacturing operations with four-year college scholarships.
Although the children of WestPoint Stevens employees are given first consideration for the scholarships, it may be awarded to any child who is eligible.
