GLM to Unveil New Marketplace at May 2014 Shows

White Plains, NY-GLM will introduce its new branding platform, "signature mix marketplace," during select May 2014 shows. The new marketplace, which runs Sunday, May 18 through Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, will include the National Stationery Show (NSS), Creative & Lifestyle Arts (C&LA), and the premiere of Gift>it-Distinctive Gifts. Fabulous Finds.
The combination of this new marketplace, which will feature more than 900 exhibiting companies and more than 10,000 product lines, was created to help expand business opportunities for retailers and manufacturers during a time of year when merchandise is being refreshed and holiday shopping is still in progress, according to GLM.
New to the market mix, Gift>It will feature a diverse collection of product from popular as well as emerging, new brands that will complement NSS and C&LA offerings, including decorative objects, "kitchen chic," specialty toys and games, men's gifts and gadgets, jewelry and confections. Gift>it will also kick things off at a new start time for NSS and C&LA of 10 a.m.
"Annual events provide unique opportunities that differ from their semi-annual counterparts, largely due to the scope of participants and the content of the event from beginning to end," said Patti Stracher, show director, in a statement. "What's so exciting here is the product combination within signature mix-a first for the industry. It will provide a fresh, new experience for both the thousands of buyers that have attended NSS over the years, as well as attract a breadth of new buyers to the marketplace."
Signature mix marketplace is expected to attract an audience of 12,000 senior executives and category buyers from larger retailers and specialty chains worldwide, international distributors and owners of independent retail shops.
