Moe's adds rug line in Vegas market return
August 9, 2013,
"The main purpose here at this show is to get the attention of the consumers; Moe's has its own rugs now," Samieian said. "In the past, people came in and asked if they could buy the rugs and we had to say ‘no' because they weren't ours. We drove customers to other suppliers to buy from."
Samieian said he wanted to offer consumers a choice in a number of different colors, while shying away from some of the busier styles seen in the market.
"We are color-driven. We play a lot with the color and design," Samieian said. "Color is on my mind; the trendy colors and patterns. I never liked busy patterns and crowded patterns. I'm staying away from that. I want to keep it simple and give people the pleasure of color."
When the full collection launches, most of the designs will be already warehoused to provide quick turnaround, he said. "We will have a lot of rugs to present with backup production to be ready to ship."
