San Francisco - Williams-Sonoma Inc. nameplate PBteen is opening its first store in Maryland this weekend.
The new site, located in Annapolis at the Westfield Annapolis 1800 Annapolis Mall, will grand open Saturday at 10 a.m. with several special events and promotions.
"We are excited to open the first PBteen store in Maryland and to complete our family of Pottery Barn brands in this region," said Sandra Stangl, president, Pottery Barn Brands. "We have many loyal customers in the Annapolis area and are thrilled to bring them PBteen's personal in-store experience just in time for back-to-school shopping."
The first 250 visitors at the new PBteen store on opening day will receive a free gift and a chance to win one of four $250 gift cards. D.J. As-One will be spinning his brand of music live in the store as part of the celebration.
The merchandise mix will include the new PBteen fall collection for tweens and teens in the area looking to get an early start on back-to-school shopping. The store will showcase a colorful assortment of backpacks, messenger bags, lunch totes and accessories. The new 2013 PBdorm collection will also be available, and it features a variety of XL twin sheets, task lighting, storage solutions, decorative accessories and more.
This store will be anchored around a complimentary PBteen Design Lab, where teens and their parents can engage with the brand and its products by digitally creating a personalized room on a computer monitor. Using drag-and-drop technology, teens can experiment with different room configurations and color combinations and quickly see their designs come to life on a television screen overhead.
On-site design specialists will be available to help teens choose their favorite patterns and styles to create their own distinct bedrooms and lounge spaces. Products available at PBteen.com can be ordered through the store and shipped directly to the customer.
Regular store hours will be Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
