WestPoint Home takes on Portico brand

New York - WestPont Home has licensed with The Portico Brand Group to manufacture for bedding, bath, robes and rugs for the retail market.

"We are delighted to be partnering with Westpoint on the Portico and Under the Canopy brands," said Gregg Haft, president of PBG.
WestPoint president Normand Savaria said: Adding an eco-friendly and socially responsible bed and bath product line will enable us to take our core competencies of design and strong manufacturing to a segment of the market who has been faced with a decision between fashion and environmental consciousness."

Portico is a lifestyle brand that marries fashion and environmental awareness. Under the Canopy was founded in 1996 by Marci Zaroff, PBG chief marketing and sustainability officer.

"The growing demand for eco-fashion makes WestPoint's launch of the Portico Home and Under the Canopy brands timely and relevant.," she said.
