New York — Donna Karan Home debuted two new solid color programs plus updated fashion bedding during the New York Mini-market.
In the upper-end Donna Karan collection, The Silk Route solid color program mixes cording and loop closure details in a six-color palette including ice blue, camel and plum. The queen duvet cover is $800, sale price. Other collection silks include Reflection, a mélange of graphic pleated silk panels with matte/shine effects, corded with silk flanges at $450 queen, sale.
Pintucks and pleats, sheers, hand embroidery and cording details highlight the four Collection beds. Patina, a copper metallic thread vine motif, is worked against a black silk ground with a linear striped cotton satin voile quilt as a dramatic accessory. The 525-count cotton sateen sheet is enhanced with a pleated tuxedo hem. Luminescent features a layer of silk organza with stitched embroidery.
Hand crafted embellishments, metallic looks, pleating details and washed effects are among the fashion features of the DKNY collections that encompass six new beds. Edwardian Sheer mixes black and white with graphic pleating, a raw edge ruffle and a double ruffled border on the duvet cover at $299 sale for the queen. The companion quilt features a vertical stitching with a baby ruffle edge. Florals and leaves are embroidered within paneled velvet stripes on Autumn Woods. The quilt is double faced and highlighted with contrasting thread in peat to henna shades. Queen duvet cover is $199 sale.
Another DKNY highlight is Lady Like Bloom, needlepoint inspired bouquets in deep rich colors on a textured cotton ground with a pintucked border at $299 for the queen, sale.
In the Pure collection, tapestry in white and ivory features a voile flange on the pillows with a coordinating towel program.
