Venus Home Unveils 10 New Fashion Bedding Sets
October 5, 2009,
Venus Home has introduced four middle- to high-end top-of-bed collections and six additional sets priced more aggressively.
The more promotional sets, which offer eight pieces, are priced at $79.99.
The better beds incorporate dressmaker details, appliquéd and embroidered looks and special fabrications. Chloe is a pieced appliquéd and embroidered bed in aqua, blue and white with lilac-colored accents; Geometry employs steel gray against whites for a more masculine look enhanced with check details and embroidered accents; Maria is a traditional pattern the features Soutach embroidery on beige and cream fabrics; and Veronica is an large-scale stemmed floral look on a blush/buff tonal ground accented with charcoal and cream and features pin-tucking details.
The lower-priced offerings also use some dressmaker detailing for added value, but more modestly to meet a target price point. Some of the beds in this group include: the hotel-inspired Boulevard in a poly-dupioni with a dobby weave in gray; Strata, a striped pattern on an engineered printed fabric that was designed to look like a yarn dye; Paisley Toile in copper and spice colors accented with brown tones; and Primavera, a 100% polyester tonal jacquard look in cream and soft greens.
The new bedding lines came in addition to the headlining category introduction during market — Venus's foray into top of bed with its in-house VisaEndurance technology.
Also new in bedding from Venus was a broadly expanded assortment of quilts — 19 new in total — spanning traditional, transitional and contemporary looks.
