Protect-A-Bed introduces QuiltGard line

Haverford, Pa. -- Protect-A-Bed, maker of protective encasements for mattress, box spring and pillow protectors, has introduced its newest product, the QuiltGuard mattress pad, with a debut at the recent International Hotel, Motel & Restaurant Show in New York.

QuiltGuard incorporates a luxury-level mattress pad while offering protection against liquids, allergens and dust mites.

“We’re calling it the gold standard in bedding protection since it’s a product the hospitality industry has been asking for,” said Petra Minoff, vp of sales in Protect-A-Bed’s Hospitality Division. “The product not only improves the guest’s sleeping experience, it protects the life of the mattress. It’s also easy to use, maintain and protects the mattress from accidental stains.”

Minoff said of the response to its AllerZip product line, shown at last year’s IHMRS, “outstanding,” which she said indicated hotel and motel owners recognize how mattress protectors can cut operating costs by extending cleaning and replacement cycles.

The encasements are free from harmful substances, complying with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 or as tested by SGS Group, said Protect-A-Bed, noting that the products are also FR compliant.
