ASID NY Chapter names winners of "Best of the Best" awards

New York -- The New York Metro Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has recognized seven exhibitors from At Home at the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF) as the "Best of the Best" in the winter 2013 market.
At Home is one of 10 divisions presented semi-annually at the Fair, which opened Saturday and runs through Jan. 29 at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and the New York City's Passenger Ship Terminal Pier 94.
Designed to be all encompassing, At Home offers a complete range of hard lines and soft goods - from indoor to outdoor and traditional to contemporary.
Listed by category, the recipients of the winter 2013 ASID "Best of the Best" awards are:
Imaginative Product Presentation: Middle Kingdom of Manassas Park, Va.;
Innovative Product Design: Canopy Designs Ltd. of Long Island City, NY;
Social Responsibility/Ecological Sensitivity: Cisco Brothers of Los Angeles;
Lighting: Luna Bella, Inc. (Hialeah, Fla.;
Accessories: Lostine of Philadelphia;
Textiles: Carson & Company of Charlotte, N.C.;
Wall Art: Itinerant Studio of Springfield, Ohio.
"ASID members recognize NYIGF as a leading market for design-oriented home resources," said Jacqueline Hosford, ASID, president of the ASID NY Metro Chapter. "Among all the considerable design innovation and creativity the judges have seen at NYIGF, these companies and products are truly visionary."
The judges for the awards were: Arlene Angard, Allied ASID from Arlene Angard Designs; Maggie Cohen, ASID from Room Service Designs Inc.; Jacqueline Hosford, ASID from Jacqueline Hosford Interior Design, LLC; Benjamin Huntington, ASID from Veritate Design; Pedro Lima, ASID from Pedro Lima Interiors; Diane Susoev, Allied ASID from Red Square Studio; Michele Taylor, Allied ASID from Michele Taylor Interiors; and Carolyn Tierney, ASID from ECOterior Solutions.
