Durham, N.C. - Southwest Looms is debuting a new collection of handmade southwestern rugs at the Spring High Point Market. The company will be showing in Shadow Mountain's showroom in Historic Market Square (M-90), along with bedding specialist Silverado Home.
Shadow Mountain initiated the new partnership with Southwest Looms and Silverado Home to present customers with a coordinated package of furniture, bedding and rugs.
The three companies, known for high quality and unique style, will also be showing together this summer in Las Vegas.
Southwest Looms designs and manufactures two lines of handmade rugs that capture the essence of the American Southwest:
The Pendleton Collection, licensed by Pendleton Woolen Mills, are finely styled pile carpets based on historic trade blanket designs, in bold patterns and warm blending of color.
The Dreamcatcher Collection consists of flat-weave Navajo reproduction carpets that capture the feel, texture, weave and look of the Navajo hand-woven rug. Rugs are woven in traditional designs based on examples of Ganado, Teec Nos Pos, Two Grey Hills, Crystal and Chief Blankets. A special attribute of this line is the availability of large sizes and runners.
Shadow Mountain offers a line of naturalistic, hand-crafted, functional works of art for the home. Produced by skilled craftsmen using specialty woods, leather, iron, mica and more, Shadow Mountain's products translate the beauty of nature into artfully designed, high quality home furnishings to be enjoyed for generations.
Designer and weaver Sylvia Ortiz Spence is the creative force behind Silverado Home's bedding, pillows, throws and tabletop textiles. Her customized products offer an eclectic array of products using a broad variety of fabrics and embellishments. Silverado Home offers a variety of styles, including Western, Ranch, Lodge, Southwestern, Old World and Tuscan.
