Ambadi floor coverings receive OekoTex certification

Channai, India - Rug and carpet manufacturer Ambadi Enterprises has received Oeko-Tex certification for its latest line of polyester carpets, ensuring they are free from harmful chemicals. Ambadi's newest rugs also have an antimicrobial story as they are made with Sanitized from Clariant.

The company said the antimicrobial property protects the home from bacteria or mould that might root in floor coverings.

"With our antimicrobial rugs and Oeko-Tex certified polyester carpets, we have opened up a fresh new outlook towards floor coverings," said Vishy Shenoy, business head. "As the days pass, we plan to gear up to deliver more products that are not only pleasing to the eyes, but also pleasing to the health."

Ambadi Enterprises, part of the Chennai-based Murugappa Group, has been manufacturing for more than three decades. In June 2011 the company entered the Guinness Book of World Records after producing the world's largest apron.

The company is one of several new firms exhibiting in HTT's Global Home Show in March 4-8 in Suite 104 at 295 5th Ave.
