Sears sponsors ABC 'makeover'

NEW YORK — ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" has now joined the network's line-up. First seen as a pilot Dec. 3, the weekly reality show details how a team of designers and builders take a run-down home and completely renovate it in seven days, using products from Sears, which sponsors the show.
The first of 11 new episodes will air on Sunday, Feb. 15. Though the show lends itself to hardware, tools and other hardlines, soft home items are used when the opportunity arises, said Ted McDougal, a Sears' spokesman.
