Karastan marks 80th year with ‘Rug-ged’ contest

Dalton, Ga. – Area rug manufacturer Karastan is using a “Rug-ged America” photo contest to celebrate its 80th year in business.

In keeping with its “Make a Statement” advertising campaign, Karastan recruited six leading photography schools from around the United States to create a series of photos featuring a Karastan rug in three distinct environments:

1) A Residential/Home Environment
2) A Public Place
3) An “American” Setting

Now the area rug company has opened its “Rug-ged” contest website to voting – until July 1 – with the winning school in each category to receive a $3,500 cash award. Karastan will also donate a rug to every participating photography school.
