March 31, 2009,
New York – Teijin, a multinational corporation based in Japan, today unveiled its first Eco-A-Wear product entering the U.S. market.
Teijin is talking to several other companies about incorporating its fiber, according to Moses Cohen, sales and marketing manager. Product areas it will pursue include home furnishings, rugs and carpets, the auto industry, awnings and uniforms.
The Ecopet manufacturing includes tracing the production process from the collection of plastic bottles through the lot in which the finished fibers are used.
“Whoever wants certification, we have it,” said Cohen.
