Family Dollar elevates Fiorucci

Matthews, N.C. -- Family Dollar Stores has promoted Marianne Fiorucci to vp – planning and allocations, reporting to Bryan Causey, svp - planning, allocation and replenishment.

Fiorucci joined the 6,300-unit neighborhood discounter in 2000 as director - strategic projects, information technology and in 2005 was elevated to divisional vp – strategy and business development. Her prior experience was with the major business accounting consultancy PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Causey remarked, “Our multi-year initiative called ‘Project Accelerate’ is designed to help us serve our customers better while also enhancing our inventory productivity and profitability. Marianne's proven leadership skills and extensive retailing experience will help us continue to drive improved customer service and stronger inventory returns in all our stores."
