Guilford taps trio for ops, sales posts

NEW YORK -Guilford Home Fashions announced the promotion of one of its executives and the addition of two others to its management team.
Mason Carroll, vp, manufacturing, will also take on the newly established duties of vp, operations and global sourcing, for the New York-based home textiles arm of Guilford Mills.
"Mason Carroll has contributed enormously to the growth of Guilford from an operational standpoint, so it is logical that he head up our worldwide sourcing initiative," said Herb Briggs, president, about the four-year GHF veteran.
"Guilford Home Fashions is firmly positioned to continue to grow its U.S. vertical manufacturing at our state-of-the-art facilities, and we will enrich our fabric assortment by going offshore under Mason's leadership."
Carroll will continue to be based at Guilford's cut-and-sew plant in Herkimer, NY.
Joining Guilford from Hollander Home Fashions and Nortel Networks, respectively, are Tom McCaffrey and Jeff Chilton. McCaffrey, formerly vp, sales and marketing, with Hollander, will assume the mantle of vp, sales, and will focus on Guilford's key accounts. McCaffrey has also previously worked for The Bibb Company as executive vp.
Chilton will join GHF as national sales manager. Both men will report directly to Briggs.
"Tom and Jeff will bring a high level of service and expertise to Guilford Home Fashions' customers. They will work as a team on the rollout to market of our exciting brand opportunities in bed, bath and window products, under Jockey Home, Goodnight and Blueprints, as well as manage the substantial private label businesses," said Briggs.
The pair replace former vp, sales, Chet Cafasso, who has left Guilford.
