Hornick promotes Logus, hails Gruenfelder

New York – Window covering manufacturer Louis Hornick has announced the promotion of one employee and the celebration of a significant anniversary for another.

John Logus has been promoted to executive vice president of purchasing and logistics, reporting directly to chief operating officer, Louis Hornick III, coo.

Logus was previously vp of global purchasing.

“We are exceptionally thrilled to have someone of John’s caliber as part of the Hornick team,” said Hornick. “With over 30 years of experience, John’s knowledge and dedication are something that is not easily come by in today’s market; he is of an ‘old breed’ and his value cannot be underestimated – he is family.”

In addition, the company is honoring office manager Gerri Gruenfelder, who is celebrating her 45th year with Hornick.

She started with company in its New York office in 1965 and has held positions in purchasing, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

“We are a family business, a 92-year-old family business, but there is more to the Hornick family then just genetics,” said ceo Louis Hornick II. “Gerri is part of the 'Hornick Family,' and her deep devotion to the company epitomizes the close relationship between Hornick and its employees."
