Jaunty Co. opens expanded California DC

Los Angeles – Jaunty Co. has opened a newly expanded headquarters and distribution center here. The new facility is 40,000 square feet, double the size of the former space, according to Kami Navid, executive vp of the hand-made area rug importer and wholesaler.

“Rapid and sustained growth has necessitated the expansion,” Navid said. “We are now able to continue our high level of service as we continue to expand our line with state-of-the-art computer programming and distribution techniques.”

Jaunty Co. originated in Paris, France more than 60 years ago and expanded to the United States in 1979. Best known for hand-knotted rugs, Jaunty has introduced woven, hand-loomed and hand-tufted lines over the past 10 years. Navid notes that the company is also known as a successful state-of-the-art Area Rug Concessionaire with comprehensive business models aimed at better- to high-end furniture store chains.
