STRC annual meeting planned for May

The Southern Textile Research Conference (STRC) will hold its annual meeting from May 16 to 18 at Pawley's Plantation, Pawley's Island, S.C. The theme for the meeting is "Progress Through Fundamentals."
The STRC operates under the auspices of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists .
The 2004 conference is open by invitation and includes presentations and discussions of textile technology and market positions by industry leaders.
The presentations will focus on flammability standards, the non-wovens market, continuous preparation of stretch woven fabrics, acrylics and binders for textiles, nanotechnology and textile surface modification, and the impact of politics and manufacturing environments on the U.S. textiles industry.
The conference will include an STRC business meeting, and the STRC will also award its annual scholarships during the conference.
