Textiles Show's Best Product Winners

Home fashion industry editors selected the winners of the Winter 2007 Best New Product Awards at the New York Home Textiles Show, from products that were displayed by exhibitors at the Metropolitan Pavilion here.
The honor of Best in Show was earned by V Rugs & Home (Aventura, Fla.) for its U-Shaped Bedwrap rug, a contemporary, bed-surround floor mat made from embossed leather and cowhide.
The category winners and finalists were:
Bed: Winner: Lucinda Lee (Honolulu) for its silk, hand-embroidered Wild Iris ensemble for the bed, window and bath — including duvet, pillow shams, bed skirt and accent pillows.
Finalist: Weavers & Designers (Lima, Peru), organic cotton sheets.
Finalist: Ferran (New York) hand-painted, washed linen duvets and shams.
Dining: Winner: Luis De Sousa, LDA (Madeira, Portugal) for its organdy tablecloth, embroidered in shadow work with appliqués of leaves of cambric linen.
Finalist: Jose Eduardo De Sousa (Madeira, Portugal), placemat and tablecloth.
Finalist: Haller (Hall in Tirol, Austria), washable linen blend breadbasket.
Home Accessories: Winner: Shades of India (Palo Alto, Calif.) for its hand-cut silk/velvet cutout cushion cover.
Finalist: Lizz Greer (Palo Alto, Calif.) for The Grid Collection of rugs.
Finalist: Divine Designs (Manna, Calif.) for its Sunburst Pillow.
This year's judges were: Wanda Jankowski, editor, LDB Interior Textiles; Jennifer Marks, editor-in-chief, Home Textiles Today; Chandra Palermo, editor-in-chief, Accessory Merchandising; John Saxtan, of Talcott Publications; Warren Shoulberg, editor-in-chief, HFN; Becky Smith, editor-in-chief, Home Accents Today; and Christine Tyler, associate editor, Home Décor Buyer.
