Pillow Decor buys dec pillow unit of Prasad’s

Vancouver, B.C. – Decorative pillow retailer and wholesaler Pillow Decor Ltd. has acquired the decorative pillow division of Seattle-based Prasad’s Imports. The acquisition accelerates the expansion of Pillow Decor’s wholesale operations in Canada and the U.S., the company said.

Founded in 1976, Prasad’s Imports is a designer, manufacturer, and wholesaler. Over the years Prasad’s Imports has been a supplier to hospitality and retail customers including Vacation Resorts International, Worldmark by Wyndham, Spiegel, Costco, and JCPenney.

“We are very pleased to be able to provide Prasad’s Imports’ customers with ongoing support and service,” said Jonathan Forgacs, vp sales and marketing at Pillow Decor. “In addition to the wide range of fine silk products that has been a hallmark of Prasad’s Imports, we will now be offering Prasad’s customers a much wider range of products from which to choose.”

Prasad’s Imports founder and ceo Devi Prasad will be assisting Pillow Decor in an advisory capacity as key business relationships are transferred to Pillow Decor. “After 32 years in the business, it wasn’t hard for me to recognize in Pillow Decor the same kind of creative spirit, dedication and commitment to customer service that made Prasad’s Imports a success,” said Prasad.
