Ethan Allen Launches Campaign With Special Pricing Promotions

High-end furniture and accessories retailer Ethan Allen is launching a national campaign through June 15 to celebrate "innovation" in American craftsmanship, service and other attributes related to the industry.
The "Celebrating American Innovation" campaign started April 23 and promotes special pricing on select merchandise that includes new pieces as well as recently released eco-friendly furniture and accessory items at Ethan Allen's nearly 300 stores and online.
Shoppers perusing the chain's website can type in keyword "celebration" in the search option to be directed to Ethan Allen's campaign-related product offerings.
In other company news, Ethan Allen, which produces domestically 65% of its wares, was honored late last month [April 20] with the 2009 Vermont Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence and Pollution Prevention, related its earth-conscious initiatives in its in-state 71-year-old Beecher Falls manufacturing plant.
"It's a great source of pride for all of us that [Beecher Falls] and our seven other U.S. plants are still in operation today," said Farooq Kathwari, president and ceo.
The 75-year-old company originally focused on early American and colonial designs. But today, its assortment has expanded to include what Kathwari refers to as, "American interpretation of styles and inspiration that come to America from all corners of the world."
