Peking Handicraft expands Warren Kimble line

San Francisco – Decorative pillow and rug producer Peking Handicraft is introducing new additions to its Warren Kimble Collection, licensed by the American “contemporary folk” artist.

For many years, the firm has licensed his popular artwork, offering hook rugs and pillows featuring his designs that are influenced by American primitive art, often depicting stylized animals or landscapes. This year, as Kimble celebrates his 50th anniversary as a working artist, Peking Handicraft is offering a new range of items.

The Warren Kimble Collection includes the Horseshoe Inn, Cat Nap Inn, Apple Tree, Cat and Mouse, and Home Sweet Home hook rugs. A wide variety of hook pillows are available including the Taffy Cat hook pillow, with a fluffy white cat resting on a braided rug, size: 16-by-20, MSRP $44; and the Mr. Rooster hook pillow, featuring a handsome rooster showcased in a barnyard setting, size: 16-by-16, MSRP $36.

Additional pillows in the collection include: Rooster Facing West, Folk Elk, Folk Moose, Black Horse, Mini Black & White Pig, Brown Hen, American Pig, Henry Hen, Jellicle Cat, Penny Hen, Cock n' Bull, Wild Turkey, and Cozy Bunny.

The face of each pillow is hooked in wool, and the backing is cotton velvet with a zipper closure. Peking Handicraft's many talented artists go to great lengths to assure that the 100% wool yarns are custom dyed to match each artist's palette.
