Expanded Staff Readies Design Offerings for U.S. Retailers

The recently appointed team of industry veterans at Caldeira USA is preparing for buyers' visits to the division's new showroom here during February Home Fashions Market (aka Market Week), Feb. 12 - 16.

The new staff includes:

  • Lindsey Foster, general manger, with broad experience from Caldeira U.K.;

  • Jeffrey Shaffer, national sales manager, with more than 20 years at F. Schumacher & Co., Hunter Douglas, and Ellery Home;

  • Carolyn Winderbaum, product development manager, with 15 years experience in the U.S. dec pillow business for companies such as Ex-Cell Home Fashions, Bess, and Fashion Industries;

  • Heidi Udvardy, design manager, whose background will bring a fresh U.S. focus to the company's European-styled products.

Said company founder Tony Caldeira: "I believe that the Fab Four can help Caldeira become a major player in the U.S. decorative pillow, throw, and curtain markets. They are all as excited about the challenges ahead as I am."

It its inaugural New York market, the U.K.-based firm will feature decorative pillows, throws, readymade curtains, and chair pads made in the U.K. and China.
