Plano, Texas - JCPenney has hired Debra Berman as senior vp of marketing, filling a position that has been open since Michael Francis left the company 14 months ago.
Berman will join the retailer`s executive board and will report directly to company ceo Mike Ullman.
Most recently, she was a vp Kraft Foods Group overseeing marketing strategy and engagement, directing global brand strategy and customer engagement for all Kraft-owned brands. Ms. Berman said she aims to create targeted campaigns "that creatively highlight our unique and authentic combination of style, quality and value."
