Kaleen opens new Dalton facility

Retail Editor 1, January 20, 2012

Dalton, Ga. - Kaleen is entering the New Year with two milestones - the opening of a new production facility here, and the celebration of its 15th anniversary in the U.S.

An India-based manufacturer headquartered in Mumbai, Kaleen first opened its doors in the U.S. in 1997. Today, the company operates three showrooms - in Atlanta, High Point, N.C., and New York City.

The company also earlier this month hosted the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new facility here. This state-of-the-art site measures more than 125,000 square feet and houses Kaleen's North America management team along with its customer service and distribution divisions.

The ceremony, held Jan. 10, also marked the start of the company's "2012 Sales Summit," which included an awards dinner where Grey Christie was honored as Kaleen's 2011 Sales Associate of the Year, Bill Mitcheson was named the recipient of the Special Products Award, and Darryl Ernst earned the Breakthrough Award.
