Shanghai -- The Aug. 24-26 Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles event will add a European zone, set for Hall W1 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
“This special zone will feature leading suppliers from Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands such as Ekelund, Marutx, Morphrow, Rafael Catala and Textiles Athenea. They will showcase a range of luxurious home textile products from curtains to upholstery fabrics,” said show organizer Messe Frankfurt in a statement.
“It is a good idea to organize the European zone and we are glad to be part of it. Another important reason for us to join the 2010 show is the increasing purchasing power of the Chinese consumers. We expect to meet with distributors and wholesalers in this region at the fair,” said Kent Vikingsson, vp of Ekelund Weavers, a first-time exhibitor.
Returning exhibitor Xavier Girones of Textiles Athenea (Spain) said, “Our experience last year was positive. Even after the show, we were very busy following-up the business enquiries received on-site. We hope to expand our customer database and sales in China as well as other markets.”
Country and region pavilions will feature at the show, including areas devoted to suppliers from Pakistan, Taiwan, and Turkey, the organizer said.
