Construction under way

Louisville, KY — Top-of-the-bed and accessories manufacturer Quilts by Donna last week began construction on a new 30,000-square-foot office and warehouse facility.

The company, now in an 18,000-square-foot building, expects to move into the new facility by August. Located in suburban Shepherdsville, KY, the building can be expanded up to 50,000 square feet in the future.

"Our business has been really good and we needed more space," said Donna Sharp, who founded the company in 1997. The company's product line, which includes quilts, bed skirts, valances, throws, rugs and quilted jackets and purses, is imported from China, and targets specialty stores.
