GLM shows expands team, adds agents

White Plains, N.Y. -- George Little Management (GLM) has expanded its team structure for the Global Home Textiles and Global Home Décor shows to be held at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, May 6-8, 2008.

These appointments have been made, each with responsibility for both events: GLM vp Penny Sikalis will serve as show manager; Rita Malek assistant show manager, with specific responsibility for exhibit sales within all non-Asian territories and attendee development within North and South America; Jaime Kelly show coordinator; Nicole Johnson show coordinator; Alessia Adler sales assistant, while retaining her duties as sales coordinator for the Surtex show.

GLM’s roster of representatives and agents has also been increased to include partnerships in China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Pakistan, Japan, Philippines, South Africa, and Thailand.

Additionally, other partnerships are being explored in Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, South Korea, and India. GLM also anticipates forging new collaborations in Israel, Egypt, Portugal, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, and Turkey.

“These alliances are key to GLM's growth and overall global business development,” said Sikalis. “The home fashions and home decor industries have experienced a paradigm shift in manufacturing and distribution that has profoundly impacted the way business is done. In response to these changes, GLM is dedicating staff and resources to meet the needs of the evolving landscape.”
