Designer to Launch Susie Homemaker Line

Fort Worth, Texas — Showroom designer and founder of Designer House Inc., Susie McAuley, wants to translate her home decorating skills into a new line of Susie Homemaker-branded products targeting specialty stores and home centers this fall.

“Early offerings will include items that are innovative with a do-it-yourself flare for curtain and drapery solutions and decorative items that promise to transform ordinary soft home textiles like comforters and decorative pillows into designer looks in one step,” described David Fisher, president of Susie Homemaker Co.

Other product offerings in the new line for working women and stay-at-home moms age 25 to 55 will be tabletop accents, housewares, and retro cleaning and kitchen gadgets. The Susie Homemaker line is described as retro for casual elegant and transitional living.

“We have a two prong approach to the marketplace,” said McAuley, who is CEO of Designer House Inc. and founder of Susie Homemaker Co. “We want to grow our product line gradually and launch products that are both innovative and stylish.”

The line is meant to give consumers a new twist on home with an easy way of life that caters to beauty on a budget. The company is currently seeking manufacturing partners.

“Our brand mission for Susie Homemaker offers a lighthearted perspective on managing today's busy household by providing ideas, designs and solutions that make women's lives easier and a little more fun,” added McAuley, who has created showrooms for Tommy Hilfiger, Laura Ashley, Disney, Nautica and Crown Crafts, among others.
