Mustaqim to Emphasize Green Goods, Methods at Heimtextil

Mustaqim Dyeing & Printing Industries (Pvt) Ltd., a subsidiary company of the G&T group, plans to focus on its eco-friendly products and production methods during the upcoming Heimtextil trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany.
“The fabrics to be used will all be ecologically sourced and 100% cotton, at least two beds will be made from 'bamboo cotton.’ All the fabrics will be completely finished and shall have the soft and luxurious appearance required for the higher end market,” said Gaynor Coan, Mustaqim’s stylist and design consultant.
The manufacturer’s stand in Halle 10.2 at B-13 will reflect Mustaqim’s investment into ecological matters, with bullet points explaining the manufacturer’s green credentials. The company, which has been participating in the show since 1998, claims to have been among the first textiles producers in the Karachi area to set up an effluent treatment plant.
“Enhancement in our production capacities, innovative designing creativity and capabilities & achieving status of a 'Model Factory’ by our honorable customers, have given us a huge boost to encourage 'Going Green’ practices in the industrial sector,” said Fahim Bilwani, director of the mills.
Mustaqim will introduce its new “Aroma Finishing” on various fabrications during the show, “which shall actually give you the opportunity to not only seeing the spring flowers in the cold winter nights in your bed but you shall also smell them on the printed floral motifs,”. said Bilwani.
Stylist Coan said the new product offerings will reflect “the forecast given at the latest fashion shows and exhibitions in Europe for the upcoming year,” with some reworking to address individual preferences in the major global markets.
“Having appreciated through several awards from our honorable customers belonging to our largest market of Europe has encouraged us to further improve our infrastructure, strengthening supply chain management systems and expand our current capacity and capability in the production through modern methodology,” said Saqib Bilwani, executive director.
