Healthcare, hospitality execs launch Alpha Bedding

Lake Zurich, Ill. – Healthcare and hospitality-oriented basic bedding supplier Alpha Bedding “is now fully operational,” company executives announced.

“Nobody is doing what we do,” said Ted Lazakis, Alpha Bedding ceo. “Our total focus is on innovative solutions and timely delivery. Alpha’ Bedding’s ‘No Excuses Guarantee’ typifies this by stating the quoted shipment date will be met or the products will be delivered at zero cost to the customer.”

Lazakis, the inventor of Fossfill2 down alternative fill, was formerly ceo of Creative Bedding Technologies and is a member of the ISO Technical Advisory Group, which develops and sets international standards for healthcare mattresses. He points to Alpha Bedding’s trademarked SigmaFill as a continuation of his work in that area. SigmaFill is hypo-allergenic and laundered and quickly dried. “This encourages regular washing which can reduce allergens and other pests, which is what today’s consumer expects,” he said.

Sigma Fill is made with up to 50% pre-consumer recycled material, the company said, offering an environmental story.

The new firm’s management team also includes Ira Handelsman, previously sales director at Creative Bedding, and before that president of CSI Hospitality Systems. Handelsman has experience in the healthcare, hospitality and retail operations areas.

“We don’t aspire to be the biggest manufacturer in the business, but customers’ needs have changed and Alpha Bedding’s mission is to provide the innovation and service today’s customers expect,” said Handelsman.
