The department store chain’s annual “Turn Over a New Leaf” campaign is designed to “support, educate and inspire eco-friendly practices in everyday life,” the retailer said, and will this year again include special promotions and merchandise.
One will be Macy’s Eco-Shop. Shoppers can go to www.macys.com to peruse and purchase from a special collection of “green” merchandise that will include products for the home as well as merchandise for men, women and children, including accessories and cosmetics.
Examples of these select home products include items from such as Charter Club Eco-Friendly comforters, European pillows and organic cotton 300-thread count sheets. Other assortments will comprise Calvin Klein Organic Weave area rugs, the Lauren Ralph Lauren Spa Organic Towel collection and Lenox “Re-New” recycled glass stemware.
Another home-related initiative gives shoppers a 10% discount on home goods when they make a $5 donation through Macy’s toward the charities and then shop on April 25 any of its more than 800 stores or at its website. The program is dubbed “One Good Turn National Charity Shopping Day.”
