Linens 'N Things shifts housewares exec to strengthen textiles

Clifton, NJ — Scott Silver, vp and gmm of housewares, has been shifted to a newly created position in the textiles division at Linens 'N Things in a move designed to strengthen both the personnel and merchandising of the home textiles segment of the business.

The textiles divison includes sheets, comforters and the bath group. Reporting to Silver is Vi Beneciuk, merchandise manager, decorative bath group, and the buyers for sheets and comforters. Loretta Groller is dmm for specialty textiles and window coverings, which includes decorative pillows and basic bedding. Lisa Laube, vp and gmm, continues to head the decorative accessories division. Silver, Groller and Laube report to Audrey Schlaepfer, executive vp, and chief merchandising officer.

The company will be conducting an outside search for a replacement for Silver as vp, gmm, housewares.

Steve Silverstein, LNT president, said, "We are dedicating specific resources to support the growth of our textile business. These organizational changes will align our internal resources in the most productive manner."
