Crypton Fabrics unveils new antimicrobial and green technologies

West Bloomfield, Mich. – Antimicrobial and “green” fabric company Crypton Fabrics is launching several new products and technologies for fabrics, bedding and carpeting.

At the forefront is the company’s new alliance with Simmons Bedding Co. Together, they have created what the companies claim to be the first “totally disinfect-able” mattress for the hospitality industry. Simmons Beautyrest beds with Crypton mattress ticking are designed to be “impermeable to stains, odors, mites, allergens and more,” Crypton said.

Also new from Crypton is an “extreme” stain and antimicrobial protection technology made for use on wall coverings, panel systems and partitions.

And for the soft floor covering industry, Crypton Fabrics said its technology process used for its stain-, microbial- and moisture-resistant fabrics is now applicable to carpets.

The company asserted that “not even bleach can penetrate it” for its “high-performance, high-design and highly-sustainable” attributes.
