Famous Home Fashions opens China office

MONTREAL — Famous Home Fashions Inc., a manufacturer and importer of bath fashions, has opened an office in China and hired additional staff in North America in response to recent growth.

Famous's new office in Hangzhou , China , will be responsible for sourcing new products and suppliers, quality inspections and sampling.

Effective Jan. 31, Sandra Morello will be replaced in customer service by a new outside hire and Morello will move internally to join the U.S. sales team as an assistant to the national sales manager (United States), Monika Murray.

Morello will support the sales team by handling all daily related functions and report to Murray, who is based in the New York office at 230 Fifth Ave. Morello will be based in Montreal at the head office.

Also, Janet Wilkinson joined Famous recently as an assistant merchandiser, working in the product development and design team. She will report to Karen Lewis, director of product development and design.

Asare A-Boasiako has been promoted to warehouse manager for Famous Home Fashions Inc. Canada. He will be responsible and oversee all warehouse activities in Canada and will report to Dan Abitan, logistics and production manager.
