Barry named 2014 Design Icon

Honor to be presented during Jan. 26-30 Las Vegas Market
Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Market will recognize interior designer and author Barbara Barry as its 2014 Design Icon.
Barry will be presented with the honor during the Jan. 26-30 Las Vegas Market.
"The incomparable Barbara Barry is truly an American classic in the world of interior design. The imprint she has made in all facets of her work, and on the industry as a whole, is nothing short of remarkable," said Bob Maricich, ceo of International Market Centers.
The 2013 Design Icon presentation will take place Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. in Building B, 16th floor World View Ballroom. The event will include a presentation by Barry, followed by a question and answer session with Maricich. Immediately following the presentation will be a book signing and meet and greet reception located at Global Views (A-153). The event is complimentary and open to all Las Vegas Market attendees.
Barry's work includes designs for Ann Sacks Tile & Stone, Baker Furniture, Boyd Lighting, Hartmann Luggage, HBF Furniture, Henredon Furniture, Kallista, Kravet, McGuire, Tufenkian Carpets, Visual Comfort and Wedgwood, as well as her signature bed and bath line Barbara Barry Dream. Her products are sold in fine stores around the world as well as Barbara Barry galleries in Bangkok, Singapore, Moscow, and Kuala Lumpur. She also does interior design projects for commercial and private spaces. Her first book, Around Beauty, is now in its third printing with Rizzoli.
"As a self-taught designer who has endeavored to make her mark in this industry it means so much to me to be recognized. I believe that we are called to offer our unique gift and I thank the Las Vegas Market from the bottom of my heart for recognizing mine," said Barry.
Kravet, Visual Comfort and Global Views are some of Barry's brand partners with showrooms at Las Vegas Design Center, located on the first floor of Building A.
