Allied Home debuts new fill

Retail Editor 3, October 18, 2013

Los Angeles - Allied Home has created a new blowable, blended fill of down and down-alternative fiber called FX Down.
The washable blend was devloped in concert with parent company Allied Feather & Down - a major supplier of feather and down to the global outdoor and apparel industry as well as the home textiles industry.

"Previous attempts at blending down and fiber have generally been unable to pass wash-testing, as the fill clumps together, ruining the soft feel," the company said. "In the process of attempting to solve this problem, Allied searched the globe to find a fiber that would properly marry with its premium down."

Allied Home will offer FX Down pillows, comforters and blankets in price and quality categories, ranging from high-end (mostly down) fill to opening price point (mostly fiber).
